We recently held our annual carnival in Steyne Park on Sunday, August 27 2017.
The event was a fun filled day for all who attended, with many families out and about enjoying Sydney’s perfect spring weather. Amusements included face painting, jumping castles, popcorn, fairy floss, food trucks plus more!
Locals were invited from all over the eastern suburbs, with many staying to enjoy the carnival and rides all day long. The events core focus was to raise funds for Variety’s Heart Scholarships.
David Sexton, CEO, Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW said: “Variety – the Children’s Charity is very grateful for the ongoing support of Ray White Double Bay and for the amazing day that put on for the community to raise funds to give Aussie kids a fair go. The money raised will go specifically to our Variety Heart Scholarships which will allow a number of children who are disadvantaged or living with a disability the opportunity to reach their full potential in sport, education or the arts.”
This year was an overwhelming success with more than 3000 people in attendance, managing to raise in excess of $10,000. Elliott Placks expressed how incredibly proud of the event he and the team at Ray White Double Bay are – plans for the following year are already underway.
The carnival is a shining example of how Ray White Double Bay is living the values of both family and community.
