Stylish, Simple Christmas decor ideas…

By Danielle Banton

This time of year has a magic all of its own…How do you embrace your inner child without getting gaudy and over the top? Here are some stylish and simple Christmas design ideas brought to you by Ray White Double Bay:

1.Every decoration doesn’t have to feature Santa and Rudolph. You can create a lovely still life by using red and green objects. Hint: Stick to one type of material, like glass. Group vases, bottles, and goblets on a side table for a beautiful classy Christmas look.

2.Try a simple mirror and outline it in Christmas greenery, then stick in about 60 feathers. They go in all different directions: The whole idea is that they appear to dance and sway and play.

3.Instead of a garland, a great way to dress a mantel is to fill it with a mix of candlesticks — tall, small, mercury glass, crystal — and put a beautiful vase of flowers in their midst. Everything glitters. And instead of ivory candles, use red, cranberry, shades of green. That gives it another twist. Very festive!

  1. Banisters can be tricky to decorate. For a light, airy, and cheerful look, try stringing red and white paper bells together with fishing line. (Tip: Get creative with your decorations. Try thrift stores)
  1. A smart way to decorate your home without breaking the bank during this Christmas is by using more natural decor like pine cones, twigs, acorns and fruits.

Now, it’s time to get inspired with these Christmas Decorating Ideas. Remeber there’s no right way to decorate just do it your way at home!
