If you thought you had seen it all, take a look at this list of properties – Said to be the most expensive homes in the world, with a South London manshion hitting almost 1 billion pounds…This is truly luxury redefined.

 1. 17 Upper Phillimore Gardens – Kensington, South-West London

Price tag: £980m

Formerly a girls’ preparatory school, this five-storey detached Victorian house was bought by Ukrainian businesswoman and friend of Elton John, Elena Franchuk in 2008. It has ten bedrooms, an underground swimming pool, sauna, gym, cinema and panic room.

2. Seven The Pinnacle – Montana, US

Price tag: £944m

This ski lodge may be up in the mountains but with every floor being heated, you won’t feel the cold. It also has an indoor and outdoor pool, it’s own private ski lift and spectacular views.

 3. Maison de L’Amitie – Palm Beach, Florida

Price tag: £913m

This beach-side mansion once belonged to Donald Trump and boasts a full sized ballroom, a garage to accommodate 80 cars and bullet proof windows. But, last year, Russian billionaire, Dmitry Rybolovlev, said he wanted to tear it down.

This European style palace has a 50 seat cinema, ballroom, marble walls, a two-storey library and a 1,200m running track.
