How to clean the greener way

By Danielle Banton

As more and more attention is being drawn to the effects of chemical cleaning products on our health and the environment, home owners are now considering incorporating green ways of living into the home.

Traditional household products often contain dyes, chlorine, bleach and toxins such as dioxin which is unsafe for children and pets…Not only this but dangerous chemicals from the cleaners enter and poison the environment when being discarded. Using non-toxic products is easier than you may think whether you are making your own or using eco-friendly ranges.

Always going the extra mile, in the interests of a safer home and a greener environment, Ray White Double Bay brings you this innovative recipe to make your own environmentally safe and cost effective cleaner:

Green cleaner:

Half a cup of white vinegar

Juice of 1 lemon

2 cups warm water

25 to 30 drops essential oil (tea tree, grape fruit, or eucalyptus)

Pour into recycled spray bottle and get cleaning!
