Top agency team sells six properties in 10 days amid pandemic

By Courtney Martin

DESPITE the COVID-19 pandemic, an Associate Director and Sales Executive from the most successful Australian real estate business within the Ray White network has sold six properties totalling more than $15,500,000, in just 10 days.

The highlight of the six deals was the $3,500,000-$3,700,000 sale of 1 Shaw Street (pictured above) in North Bondi that saw the property sell in just 26 hours.

Ray White Double Bay’s Warren Ginsberg and Adam Reichman said the sales should inject confidence into both buyers and sellers in the market.

“The reality is the Eastern Suburbs are a relatively safe haven for both buyers and sellers at the moment,” Mr Ginsberg said.

“Good properties in good locations will always sell well and I have to say the majority of properties are selling at or above the expectations of vendors.

“It feels great out there at the moment – there are deals to be had and there is a deep pool of buyers who are cashed-up and ready to purchase.

“Buyers are really excited at the moment and you can feel the positivity when you talk to them. Since the relaxation of lockdown restrictions, we’ve seen buyers really willing to engage with us and attend open homes.”

Elsewhere; 3/16-18 Carlisle Street(pictured above) in Rose Bay sold for around $3,400,000, a semi in North Bondi transacted for $3,250,000, 18A Clairvaux Road(pictured below) in Vaucluse sold for $2,990,000, 4/35 Liverpool Street in Rose Bay transacted for $1,275,000 and finally, 202/33 Bronte Road in Bondi Junction sold for $1,250,000.

“I have to say the lift in sentiment in the market has been refreshing – it’s like people have fallen in love with property again during the lockdown,” Mr Reichman said.

“The 1 Shaw Street sale in North Bondi has to be the stand-out for me. We literally listed the property at 2pm on Monday and it was sold by 4pm on Tuesday.

“The key is to have regular communication with your buyer pool – and 1 Shaw Street was the perfect example of that – because we introduced a single buyer who we knew was perfect.

“We know enquiries have definitely increased and we’re seeing strong numbers at open homes midweek and on the weekends – we’re focusing on working religiously with our buyers – while giving our vendors the best possible service.”
